Chaeyeong Park

Pearson Fellow

MPP Candidate

Chaeyeong Park is a first-year MPP student at the Harris School of Public Policy. Her academic interests include inequality, economy, and international development, particularly economic development, to mitigate structural problems caused by an economic imbalance.

Before her time at Harris, Yeong worked at the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network Youth Initiative for two years, pursuing social action to support the Sustainable Development Goals in South Korea. She served as a team leader for the Research team within the Academics department. She proposed policies related to Sustainable Development Goals to South Korea's government. She wrote several resolutions to deliver domestic young people's voices on behalf of the youth committee representing more than 170 organizations. One of her proposed was officially adopted as a major government policy known as Green Public Procurement (GPP), and her resolution made the enactment of the Framework Act on Sustainable Development.

Yeong holds a Bachelor's in international development and Economics from Sookmyung Women's University, South Korea.
